Where can I reserve tickets?
You can purchase tickets from the Museum Reservations page on the official website of Benesse Art Site Naoshima.
What payment methods do you accept?
For online ticket reservations
Payment for online tickets can only be made through the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, DINERS, and DISCOVER.

For purchases at the facility counters
You can pay via cash, credit cards, and in some cases, e-payments or e-money depending on the facility. However, please note that ticket prices differ from their online equivalents or may be sold out. We recommend purchasing online tickets in advance.
When can I start making reservations?
Online tickets go on sale for the following month on the second Friday of each month at 10:00 AM.
Are there any service fees for purchasing online tickets?
There are no service fees.
Can I cancel my reservation after purchase?
After purchasing tickets, you can cancel any unused tickets within the cancellation period specified on each ticket. No cancellation fee will be charged. If you have purchased multiple tickets, please cancel them one by one. The cancellation deadline for online tickets varies depending on the facility and ticket type. Please check the details screen of the relevant ticket for more information.
How do I cancel my reservation after purchase?
Tickets within the cancellation period can be canceled one at a time using either of the two methods:

Canceling from My Page
Log in to My Tickets using the email address and password you set. Tap on the ticket name to open the ticket details screen. At the bottom, press "Cancel this ticket" to display the cancellation confirmation screen.

Canceling from the purchase confirmation email
Access the ticket details via the "Application Ticket URL" link in the purchase confirmation email, and enter the passcode provided in the email to proceed. The ticket details screen will be displayed. On the ticket details screen, press "Cancel this ticket" to display the Cancel Complete screen. You will receive an email once the cancellation is complete, and your refund will be processed through the credit card company of your purchase. Please ensure beforehand that you can receive emails from "@stripe.com".
I might be late for my reservation. What should I do?
If the validity period indicated on your online ticket has passed, you may not be allowed to enter. Please refer to the ticket details screen for more information.
Can I change my time slot after purchase?
You cannot change the date and time after purchasing an online ticket. Please cancel the ticket within the cancellation period and purchase a new one instead.
I purchased an online ticket, but I would like to change the number of people.
If more people are joining you, please purchase additional online tickets. Please note there is a limit to the number of tickets that can be reserved. If some of your companions want to cancel, please cancel their tickets within the cancellation period.
I understand that children aged 15 and under can enter for free. Do they still need reservations/online tickets?
Yes. Please make a reservation and purchase tickets for the number of visitors regardless of age. When purchasing, select "15 years old and under ¥0" on the ticket quantity selection screen.

*Note: For the Chichu Art Museum Night Program, children aged 15 and under are also required to pay. (Due to the nature of the program, we ask that preschool-aged children refrain from attending.) *Note: For Ring of Fire - Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul (Night), children aged 15 and under are also required to pay. (Due to the nature of the program, we ask that preschool-aged children refrain from attending for both day and night.)
Can I make reservations by phone call?
We only accept purchases and reservations online.
Can I view the exhibits without purchasing an online ticket beforehand?
Please purchase a ticket to view artwork at ticketed facilities. If you arrive without purchasing an online ticket beforehand, you can buy one at the counter on the day of your visit. However, please note that tickets may be sold out and unavailable. We recommend buying tickets online in advance. Ticket prices at the counter vary from their online equivalents. Please check this page for more details. For information on where to purchase tickets, payment methods at the counter, and viewing fees, please refer to the detail page of the relevant facility. Please note that tickets purchased at the counter cannot be refunded or reissued.
I have an Annual Passport. Are there any benefits?
Annual Passports are available for purchase at the Chichu Art Museum (Naoshima), Lee Ufan Museum (Naoshima), and Teshima Art Museum (Teshima). Passholders can enter without a reservation. However, any companions without an Annual Passport will need to make a reservation like regular visitors. If you forget your annual passport, you will need to pay for entry like other visitors.
I have an Invitation ticket. Are there any benefits?
Guests with Invitation tickets can enter without a reservation, just like Annual Passport holders.
Must one group leave the museum before the next group can enter (rotation system)?
The rotation system applies to The Art House Project "Kinza," Minamidera," and Ring of Fire - Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul (Night). Due to the nature of the artworks in these facilities, late arrivals may not be able to view the exhibits. Late arrivals may not be admitted, so please arrive on time. Other exhibits do not use a rotation system but may have visitor limits or rotations.
If I make a reservation in advance, can I also book buses or ferries? (Or will I receive priority?)
Transportation services such as ferries and island buses have limited schedules and can't be reserved. On busy days, especially during holidays or the Setouchi Triennale, plan to arrive with extra time.

If I purchase online tickets for a companion, can we enter the facility separately?
Share the QR code from your purchase confirmation email with your companion and present it upon entry. You can either forward the confirmation email or share a screenshot. Each facility issues a separate QR code for each participant. Using one QR code for multiple people may result in denial of entry, so please ensure each person has their own QR code.
Do I need an internet connection to enter the facility with an online ticket?
You can enter as long as you display the QR code, regardless of network issues. However, you'll need internet access to check your email or My Page. Please arrange your own reliable connection, especially for island travel.
Can I print out the QR code beforehand and use it for entry?
Yes, you can.
What is the refund policy if the facility is temporarily closed?
If the facility is temporarily closed due to weather or emergencies, you will recieve a full refund. For credit card payments, refunds will be processed through the credit card company. We will notify all purchasers via email and on the sales page if a refund is issued. Notices of temporary closures will be posted on the top page of the Benesse Art Site Naoshima official website.
What information is required when purchasing online tickets?
You must agree to the terms of use and register your email address, password, and phone number.
I’ve forgotten the password needed to access my ticket purchase or log in to My Page and am unable to log in.
If you forget your password, try using any email addresses you might have on the login screen under 'Forgot Password.' You will only receive the following email if the email address is registered. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.

How can I check if I have successfully purchased an online ticket?
You can check your purchase status using the following two methods:

Confirm via purchase confirmation email
After completing your purchase, you can check the confirmation email with the following details: ・Sender: eventos no-reply@eventos.tokyo ・Subject: You have successfully purchased a ticket

Confirm via My Page
Log in to your account on the eventos My Page. Select "My Page" from the menu button in the top right corner. Then, view your tickets under "My Ticket List."
I purchased a ticket but did not receive the confirmation email. What should I do?
After completing your reservation, you will receive an email confirming your booking. Please set up your email to receive messages from '@eventos.tokyo' in advance. To check if your ticket purchase was successful, refer to 'How can I confirm my online ticket purchase?
I don't have a credit card. What should I do?
If you arrive without an online ticket, you can purchase one at the on-site counter. Payment options include cash, credit cards and some electronic methods. Counter prices may differ from online prices. Check [this link] for details. Please note that tickets may not be available if sold out.
Can I reserve tickets for multiple people at once?
The number of tickets you can reserve at once varies by facility. Please check the ticket purchase page on the Museum Reservations page for specific details. Please understand that the number of reservations is limited to prevent overcrowding.

About Group visits

How should a group of 9 or more people purchase tickets?
Please purchase online tickets just like individual customers. To prevent overcrowding, some facilities may ask large groups to either come at a specific time or split into smaller groups with different time slots, even if the facility does not have a time reservation system. If your group will be traveling by bus, you will need to submit a transportation permit application in advance. For more details, please check the specific facility's information page.
Can I get a receipt?
A receipt will be attached as a PDF to your ticket purchase confirmation email. Please enter the recipient’s name when making the purchase.
What is the admission fee for the guide accompanying the group?
For accompanying guests, one guide can enter for free. Please do not include the guide in your online ticket purchase. Note that tickets are non-refundable after the cancellation deadline. When entering, present proof of being a guide or a business card to the staff.
Can interpreters enter for free?
If you are visiting for interpretation purposes and accompanying guests, you can enter for free by presenting your qualification certificate. Please do not include the interpreter in your online ticket purchase. Note that tickets are non-refundable after the cancellation deadline. If you do not present the qualification certificate on the day, you will need to purchase an additional ticket.
*Please note that a paid ticket reservation is required when an interpreter accompanies you to view the art at Art House Project 'Kinza', Art House Project 'Minamidera', and Ring of Fire - Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul (Night).

For Benesse House Guests

I'm staying at Benesse House. Do I need a reservation?
Guests staying at Benesse House can view the works at the Hiroshi Sugimoto Gallery: Time Corridors and Benesse House Museum (including Valley Gallery) without a ticket. For other facilities, please purchase online tickets. *If you have booked a plan that includes admission to the Chichu Art Museum, you do not need to buy a separate online ticket for it. *If you wish to have tea and sweets at the Hiroshi Sugimoto Gallery: Time Corridors, please make the payment separately at the lounge.
I'm staying at Benesse House. Can I re-enter the facilities?
Guests staying at Benesse House may re-enter art facilities on Naoshima during their stay. If you wish to do so, please inform the hotel front desk. Please note that the following facilities are not eligible for re-entry: Art House Project "Minamidera" Art House Project "Kinza" Ring of Fire - Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul (night) Naoshima Bath "I♥︎湯" Setouchi "   " Archive / Miyanoura Gallery 6

About Hiroshi Sugimoto Gallery: Time Corridors

Can I enter the Glass Tea House 'Mondrian'?
You cannot enter inside the Glass Tea House 'Mondrian'. Please enjoy viewing it from the outside. Tea and sweets wll be provided in the lounge, not inside the Glass Tea House 'Mondrian'.
I arrived earlier than my reserved time slot. Can I use just the lounge?
The lounge is located within the gallery, and can be used only after entering. Online ticket holders will be served tea and sweets as part of experience. Benesse House guests can visit without a reservation but must pay separately at the lounge if you wish to have tea and sweets.

Art House Project

Can the single-sight ticket for the Art House Project on Naoshima be used at any of the Art House Project facilities?
The single-sight ticket allows entry to only one Art House Project facility on Naoshima, excluding "Kinza" and "Minamidera." *Inujima "Art House Project" is not included.

Miscellaneous

Can island residents enter for free? Also, do they need to reserve a ticket?
Residents of Naoshima, Teshima, and Inujima can enter their respective island facilities for free. No reservation is needed for entry. Please inform staff at the entry. *Please note that "Night Program" of Chichu Art Museum, Art House Project facilities "Minamidera," "Kinza," and Ring of Fire - Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul (Night) are not included in the free admission offer. *Reservations are not required for admission, but some programs at the facilities may require separate reservations. *Additional fees may apply for programs at the facilities. *You may be asked to present an ID with your address upon entry.
