Notice of road closure around Benesse House Area
January 9 - 24, 2024

The road between Tsutsuji-so and Benesse House Museum will be closed to all traffic from January 9th to 24th, 2024 due to construction work. All vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians cannot pass through the road during this period.

How to get Benesse House Museum during this period

‐From Miyanoura Port, you can visit Benesse House Museum via two routes

1. From Miyanoura Port to Tsutsuji-so

After reaching Tsutsuji-so by car, motorcycle, bicycle, or town bus, please transfer to the free shuttle bus.

2. From Miyanoura Port to Chichu Art Museum

By car: Please park your car at the Chichu Art Museum parking lot and walk (approx. 10 mins to Valley Gallery, approx. 20 mins to Benesse House Museum)

By motorbike or bicycle: Please park at the north gate parking and proceed to Benesse House Museum by foot (approx. 5 mins to Valley Gallery, approx. 15 mins to Benesse House Museum)

* We recommend taking the town bus to Tsutsuji-so as it takes about 50 minutes on foot from Miyanoura Port to Benesse House Museum

‐From Honmura (Art House Project, ANDO MUSEUM)

As in option 1, take the bus to Tsutsuji-so, then transfer to the free shuttle bus.
