Notice of extension of temporary closure of art facilities and reopening of certain facilities.
At Benesse Art Site Naoshima, the art facilities were temporarily closed from Tuesday, March 3rd to Monday, March 16th, 2020 in order to prevent the further spread of the new coronavirus infections. The temporary closure of the art facilities of Teshima will be extended, while some facilities of Naoshima and Inujima will reopen from March 17th with measures to prevent infections in place at the facilities. However, there is a possibility that the facilities may be closed temporarily depending on the status of infections in Japan and nearby areas.
■ Extension of temporary closure [Tuesday, March 17th to Friday, March 27th, 2020]

* As the facilities on Inujima island are normally closed on Tuesdays, they will reopen from Wednesday March 18th.
[Preventative measures]
・ As alcohol disinfectants (or something what has similar effect) are installed, please use when visiting.
・ Please cooperate with wearing masks and using proper etiquette when coughing in the facilities.
・ The staff will be wearing masks while on duty.
・We may limit the number of visitors in some art spaces.
・ Doors will be opened at all times or regularly for ventilation.
The operation status of the facilities will be frequently updated on our website.
