At Benesse House, we have prepared a variety of special events for guests staying on December 31. We invite you to celebrate the transition into the New Year in a uniquely Naoshima setting and welcome the first moments of 2027 with art, nature, and community.

■ Hatsumode Shrine Visit Tour [Advance Reservation Required / Limited to 50 Guests]

Location: Honmura Area, Naoshima (Transportation provided by hotel shuttle bus)
Visit Hachiman Shrine, the guardian shrine of Naoshima,

■ Ring of Fire - Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul Special Opening
[Advance Reservation Required/ Limited to 17 Guests ]
Time: 10:00 AM-10:35 AM Please arrive by 10:00 AM. After check-in, guests will be asked to wait in the reception room until the program begins. Experience a special daytime viewing of Ring of Fire - Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul: Lunar (Night), a program that is normally available only in the evening. *Children aged 5 and under are not permitted due to the nature of the artwork. Guests participating in the Hatsumode Tour will be guided directly to the venue by staff following the tour. Guests not joining the Hatsumode Tour may use the Benesse House Guest Shuttle Bus. Museum 9:30 AM → Park 9:33 AM → Naoshima (Honmura) Port 9:38 AM Return transportation will be provided by hotel shuttle bus.

■ New Year Interactive Art Dialogue: "Art and Conversation, Beginning a New Year" [Advance Reservation Required /Limited to 20 Guests/Japanese Language Only]

To mark the beginning of a new year, guests are invited to join a special dialogue-based art session. Through conversations inspired by artworks and the exchange of diverse perspectives, participants can take time to reflect on themselves and welcome the year ahead with fresh insight.

■ Amazake Service & Commemorative Photo Opportunity
Time: 11:00 AM-12:30 PM
Venue: Park Lounge
Capture the first moments of the New Year with family and friends. Photos will be taken with an instant camera and provided on the spot.
