Are tickets sold on the day?

Reservations are available every 15 minutes and involve specifying the time and date.

Can reservations be made on the day?

Yes, if there is an empty slot at your desired entry time, you can make a reservation (online ticket purchase) until 30 minutes prior. If the entry slot for the time and date you want is sold out, you won't be able to enter until there is an empty slot, so we recommend purchasing online tickets in advance.

How can I purchase them?

You can purchase them through the sales page of Benesse Art Site Naoshima's official website. Credit cards are the only payment options.

But I don't have a credit card.

We apologize, but credit cards are the only payment options for online tickets.

Can I make a reservation by telephone?

We apologize, but reservations can only be purchased online.

When can I purchase a reservation?

We start selling online tickets for the month after next at 10:00 on the 5th of every month. (Ticket sales for October start at 10:00 on August 5th, ticket sales for November start at 10:00 on September 5th)

How many people can I purchase tickets for with one application?

You can purchase tickets for up to 8 people. Please make a separate group booking for 9 people or more.

Ages 0 - 15 are free of charge, but are reservations (online ticket purchases) necessary for children?

Yes, they are necessary. Regardless of age, please make a reservation purchase for the number of visitors (When you make the purchase, please select "Under 15 years old 促 0" on purchase ticket number selection screen). If you are a junior high school student or a high school student, please bring proof such as a student notebook on the day.

Are interpreters free of charge?

Yes, those visiting in order to interpret will be free of charge if they can present their qualification. Please don't include them in the number when purchasing. However, there will be no refund if they have purchased an online ticket. Also, please note that if they do not present their qualification on the day they will be required to pay an additional fee.

Is there a fee for purchasing online tickets?

No, there is no fee.

Can I cancel or change my time after purchasing?

No, we do not accept customer requests to change the date or time, or to cancel a ticket once purchased. However, this does not include temporary closure due to weather or circumstances of this facility (eg: when a boat is canceled due to a typhoon).

Do all Benesse Art Site Naoshima facilities use a reservation system?

The Chichu Art Museum uses a reservation system, and the "Kinza" House Project is only available by reservation.

I would like to request a private tour.

If you would like to request a private tour, please contact the Chichu Art Museum by telephone before purchasing an online ticket.

If I make an advance booking, can I book a bus or ferry too? (Or will I be given priority? )

Transportation such as buses and ferries can not be booked, so please allow plenty of time when you visit.
* During crowded periods such as consecutive holidays and the Setouchi International Art Festival, we recommend that you arrive 30 minutes to 1 hour early.
There are limited flight numbers, so we recommend that you plan in advance.

I have a yearly pass, but will I receive preferential treatment?

Those with yearly passes can enter without making a reservation.
However, those without a yearly pass who accompany them are required to enter in the same way as the general public (by making a reservation).

Also, if you forget your yearly pass, you will be required to pay for entry in the same way as the general public, so please do not forget to bring it.

I am staying at Benesse House, so do I need to make a reservation?

Yes. We use a reservation system, so please purchase your own online ticket.

What if I am a guest at Benesse House and I am re-entering the building?

Guests at Benesse House can re-enter without reservations at any time until their check-out date (re-entry only). Please present your admission ticket stub with the re-entry stamp from the hotel at the reception desk of the Chichu Art Museum ticket center. (*Ticket stubs without a re-entry stamp will not be accepted)

I bought a ticket online, but I think I'll be late for the time I have reserved. Can I change or cancel it?

We apologize, but we do not accept customer's requests to change, cancel, or refund tickets after payment has been completed.

I think I'll be late for the time I have reserved. What should I do?

Reservation tickets can be used for 30 minutes from the reservation time. They cannot be used after this.

What will happen with refunds if you are temporarily closed?

If the facility is temporarily closed due to irregular weather or damage, we will refund the entire amount through your credit company.
Information regarding unexpected closures will be announced on the TOP page of Benesse Art Site Naoshima's official website.
If a refund is issued, we will inform customers via e-mail and the sales page as required.
